SCAM ALERT: Calls claiming to be selling ads for Winter Sports CalendarNews Release Thursday, August 29th, 2019 The Chamber received a message on Thursday of someone calling businesses claiming to be with the School. They said she is selling ads for a Winter Sports Calendar.
When the business asked to think about it and ask for a number to call back she claimed they had two numbers. The woman gave the business one number and when asked for the second number they hung up. When they called them back the number was no longer in service.
We are letting the public know that this is a scam and if you receive this call, please hang up.
With a higher rate of scam calls lately, if you suspect that a call might be a scam, please ask to call them back or ask for a copy of the material layout and if they get aggressive or hang up they are a scam call. Do not give this person any money.
