Homecoming Parade Entries

The Aurora Chamber of Commerce is encouraging businesses to create a float for this year's Homecoming Parade! The school is asking all parade entries to be at the East Parking lot of the School by 1:30 PM on September 6th. You are then invited to come support the school at their pep rally following the parade in the Courthouse parking lot. 

Market on the Square - June 1 - Sept. 14

The Market on the Square will be held every Saturday morning from June 1st through Sept. 14th from 8 AM to 11 AM. For more information, check out their Facebook Page.  With only 2 weeks left make sure to stop and grab some goodies before the season is over!

This event is FREE to the public, and JAM-packed with activities, demonstrations, refreshments and fun! On Sunday, Sept. 8, 2019, from 1-4pm there will be butter making, corn wagon rides, silent movies, schoolhouse games, ice cream and popcorn, and a home goods auction (pie, cakes, breads, jam). BUT THAT'S NOT ALL! Throughout the day there are also live demonstrations: Blacksmith Shop, Quilting, Civil War Medicine, Pottery, Swedish Dalmalning painting, Honey Extraction and MORE!

Molly Gene & The Gasoline - Live at Banana Rams - September 20

Dirty heavy blues female duo, Molly Gene & The Gasoline, is heading to Hordville Nebraska! Come romp and stomp at Banana Rams. Music starts at 8:30 PM.  For more information, check out their Facebook Page.  

Run or walk with us Sept 21, 2019 and take a stand against sex trafficking in Nebraska! We will be hosting a 1 mile fun run/walk at 8:30 AM and 5K at 9:30 AM in Aurora, NE.

Make And Take Canvas Painting - September 21


Come and enjoy the Art Walk Aurora 2019, where YOU can be an artist too! Join us at The Makers, where you and your kids can create your own work of art to take home and enjoy or give as a gift to that special someone. All supplies are provided. Choose from two sizes with two designs each. Photos of the choices will be in the discussion comments. Pre-register and pay at least one week in advance preferred, so they can have your supplies ready and reserved. (Walk-ins welcome if they have enough supplies). IMPORTANT: Email me to let me know your selections.

Cost is $20 for an 8" x 10" canvas and $30 for an 11" x 14" canvas. This will be something fun you don't want to miss!
