The Aurora Chamber of Commerce would like to recognize our longtime Chamber Member, Bosselman Pump & Pantry as February's Member of the Month. Bosselman Enterprises is a privately held company founded in 1948 and has expanded throughout 23 states with over 1,400 employees.
They are a family company in its fourth generation, "Bosselman's has been a leader in community service for 70 years and has supported the local communities through financial contributions, support of youth scholarships, community events, and volunteer efforts of employees," according to Aurora Store Manager Jamie Friesen.
Friesen says Pump & Pantry is a hometown convenience store with 45 locations throughout the state of Nebraska. Pump & Pantry features quality Boss Fuel gasoline, diesel fuels, ethanol blend fuels, groceries, propane, snacks, fountain drinks, energy drinks, cappuccino, beer, liquor, lottery, cigarettes, fresh coffee, Pumped Up Donuts, ice cream, ATMs, and everything you need to Pump Up Your Day!
"We here, at your local Pump & Pantry, try to serve you in your everyday busy lives and hope to start or end your day with a smile and a sincere customer service experience!" Friesen said.
Friesen says they have really pushed to help keep money local and save people money with some of the rewards they have created.
"Pump & Pantry also has the famous Perks Card with 9 different clubs, an Advantage Card, which saves you $0.05 per gallon with each use, and a Fleet Card to help all of the local businesses keep it local! Stop in and grab one today!"
Even though they have many stores across Nebraska, they really encourage their employees to get involved in the community they are serving.
"The employees who work for Pump & Pantry love to get involved in many community events and need more ideas! Please stop in and help us gather a list of things we can support," Friesen said.
When asked about a typical day at Pump & Pantry, Friesen says it is just like running a house.
"We cook, we clean, we pay bills, we take care of our people, and we have difficulties as all businesses do, but we love our jobs!"
Friesen says that there is one day specifically that has been the most memorable in the last year.
"One of the best days here at Pump & Pantry was actually Halloween 2019. A few of the crew members helped make the day a blast from the past. We dressed up as Hippies from three different generations and had fun interacting with the community who stopped in for their various items throughout the day! I love that I work for a company who allows me to express myself and have fun at work!"
We are happy to have a chamber member like Pump & Pantry and they said their favorite part of being in Aurora is all the wonderful people they get to meet everyday. For more information about Bosselman Pump & Pantry, check them out on auroranebraska.com under the business directory. |
