Chamber of Commerce March month at a glance

Bands on the Bricks: The Aurora Chamber of Commerce wrapped up August with the 2nd annual Bands on the Bricks concert series! Bands on the Bricks goes on every Friday for 6 weeks starting after the 4th of July. Dates for next year's Bands on the Bricks has been set for July 10- August 14. For more details or to see more photos from this event, check out the Bands on the Bricks Facebook Page. 
Teacher Luncheon: The Aurora Chamber of Commerce teamed up with the Plainsman Museum to bring lunch to teachers right before school started. The Chamber also raffled off some Chamber Checks and school supplies at the luncheon. 
Non-Profit Conference: The Aurora Chamber of Commerce sent Chamber Coordinator Justise Rhoden to a Non-Profit Conference in Grand Island on August 7th. She met with other Non-Profits from around the Midwest and learned the importance of Non-Profits in a community. 
Business After Hours: Easy Lawn Lawn Care, Easy Lawn Sprinklers, Wood Bros Realty, Rock Turf Concepts, Banana Rams, and Aurora Meat Block hosted a BAH on August 23. They had an attendance of about 80 people where they showcased some of their businesses latest project with food, drinks and music.

Helpers of the month

The Aurora Chamber of Commerce would like to recognize the Chamber Members that help us do what we do for the community. We want to thank all of our members that helped make Bands on the Bricks possible. We also want to recognize the Plainsman Museum for hosting the Teacher Luncheon and Eakes Office Supplies for donating prizes to raffle off to the teachers.

Alan Anderson

Alan Anderson is the Treasurer of the Aurora Chamber of Commerce and currently works at Grosshans International Inc.He has lived in Hamilton County for 19 years and says his favorite part of Hamilton County is "as we show our out of town friends Aurora, we are always struck by how nice people are that live here. How good the schools are and how aggressive the business is. Couple that with how intellectually diverse and hardworking Hamilton county is." Alan joined the board because he wanted to help this community.
