July Coffee Connections: Nebraska Kinsiology Center hosted July's Coffee Connection on July 2nd. Coffee Connections is a networking event that brings customers and businesses closer. The next Coffee Connection is scheduled for September 3rd at Grandview Cafe & Lounge starting at 8 AM to 9 AM.

Bands on the Bricks: The Aurora Chamber of Commerce kicked of July with the 2nd annual Bands on the Bricks concert series! Bands on the Bricks goes on every Friday for 6 weeks starting after the 4th of July. There are still two Fridays left to come to this FREE event. Judging at Hamilton County Fair: The Aurora Chamber of Commerce Coordinator was asked to help judge the Chocolate Competition at the Hamilton County Fair on the Saturday of the fair. There was about 40 entries with categories of Junior youth, Senior youth, and Adults.

Damon McDonald

Damon McDonald is the Superintendent of Aurora Public Schools and has lived in Hamilton County for 8 years.He says his favorite part of the community is the people he gets to interact with. Damon currently serves as the President of the Aurora Chamber of Commerce and joined the board because he wanted to volunteer and provide a service to Aurora and surrounding areas. When Damon was growing up he always wanted to become an educator and coach.
